” When I was a child, I lived with paper birds, and when I lived in Karuizawa, there was a cafe where wild birds would come to the window feeders. I loved to spend time there watching the birds and reading books. Birds are somehow fragile, cute, and free…. I still look up at the sky every day to watch them fly.” says Mr. Ogiwara.

Her pictures, which remind us of a story, have a charm that makes us want to keep looking at them. They can be used not only as handkerchiefs, but also as lunch box wrappers or wall decorations. They are also recommended as gifts.

Misato Ogihara lives in Tokyo and Yamanashi. After studying design at Tama Art University, she worked as a scenic artist for operas and concerts, and as a store designer. She is active as a designer, illustrator, and artist.
